Switch shows activity but cannot access button presses

I have a couple of switches with 4 buttons. One is Tuya/Moes TS0044. When I press the buttons I can see them listed in activity. But when I try to create an automation the only trigger I am offered is related to the battery but nothing for any type of button press. I am quite new to HA, am I doing something really stupid ?

You need to use an event to trigger from a button, so if using the ui pick by type and scoll down to generic / event and then pick your device.

If that isn’t the source of your issue, please follow the Community Questions Guidelines by providing a properly formatted configuration from the affected automation, as well as the Trace from the failed run of the automation, and any other pertinent data like which Zigbee integration you use, whether this automation is from a blueprint, any errors in your logs, etc.
