I bought a Switchbot leak sensor because it could use both Bluetooth and wifi. I have now discovered that it only uses wifi when water is actually leaking. My water tank is too far from my server for Bluetooth. Is there a way around this or should I send it back?
Depending on if you have a power outlet between the server and the water tank, you might be able to put in an ESPHome bluetooth proxy that could get a bluetooth signal from the leak sensor and relay it via WiFi to the server.
