The last update messes up the presence sensor will only works intermittently, reverted back to previous version of HA and it works as it should, can this be solved

So is this an ESPHome device or what hardware are you talking about?
It would be the responsibility of the hardware/firmware/software manufacturer to chase the set-up of Home Assistant’ core funcationality.
