So I just bought my Switchbot Universal Remote + Hub2 .
I configured Matter in HA for the Hub2 and added secondary device in switchbot hub app for the Universal Remote.
Now from what I have seen I need to go to the Universal Remote and under the “manage devices” choose + and “Third-party control” and from there choose “Matter”, But I do not get this option …
What am I doing wrong ?
I am trying to configure button on the remote to start automation in HA .
Please don’t tell me I shouldn’t have gotten this remote (my Logitech harmony recently died on me)
I believe you are using an Android smartphone, correct? You need an iPhone to enable this. Afterwards you don’t need the iPhone any longer. I told Switchbot about this some time ago but it seems they are ignoring this.
I Do not have an iPhone 
There is no other way to do this with out an iPhone ?
I don’t think so unfortunately. Can you borrow one from a friend? Only takes a few minutes.

yes you can. Strange I know but I did it that way and it worked.
