Switching from ZHA to 2MQTT

I want to upgrade my coordinator from Sonoff to SMLight POE. I don’t have too many routers and i will be updating some of those.

I assume i should just kill the ZHA integration and start over.

Hello Bill Stock,

You could install Z2M with a different dongle, make sure it’s on a different channel with a different key, then just re-pair stuff to the Z2M one at a time. I have a ZHA and a Z2M network running on the same HA in order to support Blueprints that I wrote for both softwares.

Thanks.

It crossed my mind, but i only have 6 repeaters and 4 smart plugs ATM. I am probably going to swap out 3 of the repeaters, as i found a better Tuya repeater. I wanted to get the network rolling before i setup my battery devices.

I bought three of the SMLight dongles, as I’m going to use one as a coordinator and two as routers. I had the same idea for Sonoff, but I love the web interface on the SMLight. They are so easy to flash and switch to a router.

I saw a video of a guy who swapped out his Sonoff with an SMLight by copying the MAC ID. Then I noticed that he was using 2MQTT. :rage:
