Synology DSM NIC bonding

On the document page it said “If you have two or more NICs with different IP addresses from the same subnet… In this case, it is recommended to use NIC bonding instead or to deactivate SSDP.”

For NIC bonding, is the option “Active Load Balancing” good enough? Both NICs are assigned to the same IP now.

But the integration works for awhile after restart. Then it fails to unavailable sooner or later. Any pointer?

On the docker log, I have found the following entries:

  • 2023-02-08 11:41:50.651 WARNING (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.synology_dsm.common] Connection error during update, fallback by reloading the entry
  • 2023-02-08 11:42:16.080 WARNING (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.synology_dsm.common] Connection error during update, fallback by reloading the entry
