System size with Home assistant green?

Hi all,

Just getting started with Home Assistant Green.
Have been running it for a month or so and i have a pretty basic setup with integrations for Unifi network, and HACS for energy monitoring etc.
I have no automations at this point, just monitoring for various smart devices.

The System is giving me warnings that it is running out of storage. But almost all of the space is taken up by the system (22 out of 28gb) and i cannot clear that.

Any ideas on how to clear this? i can’t imagine that out of hte box its using such a large % of the
disk for system resources. I have followed some guides on how to do it by using docker etc and clearing cache etc but this hasn’t fixed the issue.

Check how many back-ups you have…

Give this a read: Check HAOS Space utilization · GitHub

System, i s basically piling up do to I.E DB size & Apps (containers), and extremely logging

So either your definition of Basic-Setup is out-of-ordinary , or you have no idea what your various Apps/integrations are doing

Have run that script.

It says i am using 2.9GB for the system

Not sure where the other 20gb of consumed space is coming from…

Did you check the storage space taken by your backups as advised by Sir_Goodenough?

Please read the whole article, especially the background and the bloat sections. That is NOT the system. Use the Full access to files section.

You can see that in the first picture as well as here

Wait - wouldn’t the backup in pink (1.6GB), so outside of system in blue (22.6GB)…?

Yep. That’s what I was referring to with the first picture.
