I have HAOS installed on a small form 64bit PC. Up until recently, it’s all been operating perfectly fine, all automations correct etc.
Then all of a sudden, my automations had a huge delay, by a number of hours.
I dove down the path of checking all time related settings that I could find:
System-General-Time Zone is correct in HA.
My router time zone was incorrect, so fixed that.
The time and date in the BIOS of my HA PC was incorrect, so fixed that (this could have been due to a power failure??)
I displayed the time on my HA Dashboard using the Clock Card and this is correct.
But when I SSH into the setup and run the ‘date’ command, it is the wrong time zone and way off! Incorrect for even that time zone of ACST.
In the picture, the correct time is displayed by my phone at the top. The incorrect system time can be seen in the terminal.
THIS thread might help you to resolve the time issue.
Furthermore, if that small form 64bit PC has a CMOS battery build in (usually a CR2032) you should change it. Those batteries usually last for ~3 years. When they are depleted you can expect time issues and reset-ed BIOS settings out of the blue.
Apologies, that wasn’t meant to come across offensive, just letting you know that I have tried that. I didn’t think of mentioning it as I had just done that as a matter of course every time I made a change.
