Hi everyone! ![]()
I wanted to share my Home Assistant configuration for integrating Systemair SAVE VSR 300 ventilation units (and compatible SAVE series models) using the Elfin EW11A RS485-to-Wi-Fi converter.
If you don’t want to buy expensive proprietary gateways, this $10 module combined with Home Assistant’s native modbus integration works fast, reliably, and fully locally.
Hardware Setup
- Recuperator: Systemair SAVE VSR 300 (Connection Board CB)
- Converter: Elfin EW11A (RS485 to Wi-Fi)
- Wiring: RS485 (A+, B-, GND) connected directly to the CB terminals.
###HA setup: just use this integration from HACS: GitHub - Howard0000/home-assistant-systemair-modbus: Home Assistant integration for Systemair SAVE ventilation units via Modbus TCP (NO/EN). · GitHub
