I really appreciate the sections layout, as it really helps me to improve my dashboards.
But It would be even better, if you could configure something like Tabs within a Section.
Let me try to explain:
My Dashboard is “room based” - so each room has its own dashboard.
And within each room, I do have thermostats, lights, and so on.
So the dashboard Layout is pretty much the same for the different rooms…
I have a section for Thermostats, Lights, and so on.
Now, a small feature would make this kind of organization perfect:
If I could configure something like Tabs.
Right now, I do have a thermostat for heating - and one for an AC… as an example:
Both are within different sections, because else, the Thermostat-Card would be too small, if I place them side by side.
Placing them underneath each other would also use too much space.
Now, it would be great, if I could only use one Section for all “climate”-related stuff…

This has been done with a custom-card “Tabbed card” - but it does not allow me to configure other cards that are related to the AC or the heating under the Thermostat, like the section would allow.
I know that there is a ‘tabbed card’ available - that’s what I’ve used for the screenshots.
But the Tabbed Card does not meet the requirements which I mentioned here:

that could work… but honestly - I want to keep the new Layout options for some of the Cards ( I know, could be done by stacking vertical / horizontal stack cards)…- but I would prefer to have built in features like this
I have already reduced the numbers of custom cards by a lot since the new sections dashboard - and now layout features has been implemented.
The only custom cards right now are those, which have a special purpose for specific integrations (which might also be replaced by built in cards at some point).
So, sinc this is a feature request section, I think the request could still be valid, even if there’s a custom card that would allow a similar result… or not?
I have 2 robot vacuums, which I use several cards for, would be so much easier if I can put those into 2 identical sections (apart from the vacuum entity) and have them tabbed to save space on the dashboard.
