Ik heb hetzelfde
Same issue here. Installed the update, restarted home assistant and tried to re-authenticate. Getting “Unexpected error”.
Same issue here, will wait till tomorrow for ‘hopefully’ fix to the issue.
See update 2025.3.4, will check if this fixes issue. (nope, better luck 2025.4)
Will Tado X also be fixed in 2025.4?
I’ve installed 2025.4.0b12 and that didn’t fix it.
Unfortunately, I can’t find any information about this. Is there a date yet for when the 2025.4 version will be released? Not the beta…
Currently, I’m having a problem with the custom integration: the thermostats aren’t appearing in Apple Home.
Only a few of the approximately 15 are being integrated. Occasionally, some also disappear from Apple Home.
I’m using the HomeKit Bridge.
In Home Assistant, everything currently works with the custom integration.
Good morning,
Yesterday, only the operating system was on version 15.1. That wasn’t the core with the Tado fix, or am I making a thinking-mistake?
That would still require a custom component. It’s not fully supported in the underlying library yet.
The OS is a different release than the Core. The Core version contains the code release and not operation system related changes.
Today is the release date of version 2025.4. It will most likely be released during the live stream around 20:00 CET-ish.
New Home Assistant releases are normally on a Wednesday, but there are no release notes for 2025.4 yet and the release party is scheduled for 8pm tonight.
Have to say that, for us, the Tado integration going down has been a very minor inconvenience. All our heating automations are still working fine as I switched to using the Homekit Device entities. The Tado integration needs cloud connectivity and the Tado cloud server has been a bit ‘flaky’ of late. The performance of our heating automations has been much better using the local Homekit Device entities. The minor inconvenience comes because we now have no control over our hot water in Home Assistant. As far as I can see, the water_heater.hot_water
entity is only available in the Tado integration.
Thank you for the info. I didn’t realize it was Wednesday.
I’ve already seen the two different integration options.
If I set up Tado as a HomeKit device, will the Tado app still work? Can I still control everything through it, or will it only work via Home Assistant?
I currently have all my schedules in the Tado app (cloud).
Bei mir wird nach Benutzer und Passwort gefragt. Nach Eingabe heißt es nur Unerwarteter Fehler .Über Handy App und PC Geht Nur in Homeassistant nicht
Yes, the Tado app retains full control no matter what. I set all my rooms to “Manual until you resume schedule” when I want Home Assistant control. However, if I set it to schedule in the Tado app it doesn’t matter what Home Assistant does it’ll always follow the schedule in the Tado app.
I don’t see any notes regarding the tado (v3) fix for 2025.4, did it make it into the release ? (I’ve just been prompted with the update notification).
UPDATE:- Ok it definitely made it in. I simply deleted the custom_components/tado folder and rebooted HA, and the official tado integration just took over automatically. I didnt even have to re-authenticate.
I confirm that the 2025.4 update fixes the tado authentication problem.
Installed 2025.4, and do a reboot, but Tado still does not work:
“500 Internal Server Error Server got itself in trouble” when try to add the integration.
UPDATE:
I have deleted Tado and added it again. The integration is now being installed. ‘Authentication was successful’.
But then there is an error message ‘You need to reauthenticate with Tado. Press Submit to start the authentication process.’
I have done this several times now, but it does not work.
Same, all’s well again!
Nice re-authentication notification under settings menu, very smooth!
For those that were patient and did not install the custom component.
- Update to Home Assistant Core 2025.4.0 and restart
- Go to >Settings
- Click on Repair for Tado at the top of the page
- Click on the link in the Tado re-authentication repair notification
- Log into Tado with your credentials
- You will be greeted with the screen below
- All working and no need to change any entity name or re-setup devices.
Hi, I have two accounts in TADO to control devices in two homes and until now I could have both activated in my home assistant. Now with the new way to login I can only have one of the accounts active. If I login with one I lose all the devices of the other one and vice versa. Does anyone else have this problem?
