Tag not reading-Home Assistant Tags

Got my ESP8266 and PN532 connected but I cant get the PN532 to read a tag, any ideas?
ESPHOME shows the ESP8266 is connected. But when I swipe the tag nothing happens.

Is there a process to adding the tags? Or should this just scan and add it?

What softwaree are you running on the esp8266, and what does it say in it’s logs?

I used ESPHOME to upload to the ESP8266, ESPHOME is connected to the ESP8266.
Below is the log from ESPHOME,

And there is nothing more when you put your tag near the reader?

I should have asked for your esphome yaml as well

I just realized I may need the tagreader.yaml in my ESP8266, trying that now. I just had what ESPHOME put on it, which is basically just the WiFi info.

Yeah your log is pretty sparse. I assume you are using adonno’s firmware?

Yep. I loaded the tagreader.yaml and it works now, thanks

How to upload it to esp8266 ? in secrets ?
