I’d like to purchase a Somfy product, the Tahoma Switch (Link), to control my awning and the dimmable LED lighting integrated into the awning itself.
I see that the best integration to use is the Overkiz (Link)
Before purchasing, I wanted to be sure I could integrate this system, but above all, I wanted to understand if and how I could access the awning’s status, since I’d also like to use a remote control to operate the awning and lights (for example, this one I already have at home: Link).
I just helped my brother integrate his somfy roller shades. Not sure about awnings, but with shades, if they communicate over somfy’s RTS protocol, they are only one-way communication… meaning no real-time status.
Other than that, overkiz works great. My brother opted to go the cloud route so he could integrate shade “scenes”.
The Somfy Tahoma integration for things like Renson work, in as far as open, close, stop. But position and LED Lighting control is not possible as far as I can tell, yet.
Position is not so much of a problem, but LED colour change is a PITA.
