Is anyone else having the issue with the tailscale integration where it is saying the key expired early? I create 90 day keys and it has recently been asking for new keys every few days.
I am seeing this too.
I have the same problem.
That’s good… not just me then. Seemed to start about a week ago, done 2 renewals since then and it’s expired again today.
Count me in! Seeing this quite often the last few days. Started about two weeks ago, I guess…
Same here, rebooting HA clears the message for a few days.
Edit: also giving it the same key as before clears the error - make me think it’s something in how HA is handing an error, maybe a connection problem, being treated as a key issue.
I’ve been lurking waiting to see if someone else would mention this problem. My window has gotten shorter and shorter over the past couple weeks. I’m now asked for a new key daily for the past 4 days.
Same here for the last few weeks.
Me too. Now have to regenerate a key every couple of days for Home Assistant - despite the key not having expired on Tailscale.
It’s the same thing for me every few days. But so far, simply entering the old key has been enough.
Thanks for that tip!
Same problem. No solution yet?
Same here, IM assuming it has to do with 2025.8 or 2025.9
Started happening to me soon as I upgraded directly from 2025.7 to 2025.9
Hopefully an update soon
Exactly the same problem. Quite annoying. The key should be valid for 90 days, but it is asked to renew at least twice a week, or sometimes even every day.
Also experiencing this after the last update.
Reloading the integration “fixes” it for a while, until the same re-authentication request shows up, I just reload the integration again.
The key is clearly good as it works after reload and this is just annoying.
Waiting for a fast fix…
I don’t have this issue. But i have set my keys to never renew. Maybe someone can test if that solves it (for now)?
Is there a bug submission to track on this?
This wouldn’t effect key expiry as the integration requires an API access token, which can’t be set to not expire. The maximum length of time for an API token is 90 days, it would be nice to have the option to not have API token expire though.
Now I get it. Sorry, my mistake, I don’t actually use the integration, only the Add-on. So I don’t use an API key.
All good, I figured it was a misunderstanding so I figured I would clear it up.
The integration that we are talking about allows you to set up things like notifications if devices fo offline from your Tailnet, track usage, things like that. So in my case I use both, the adding and integration.
