Tap to mark, hold to edit entries in the shopping-list

Hello! It would make it much simpler to use the shopping list if tapping on a whole row instead of the small checkbox would check it. Holding would edit.

This is in the companion app, on my phone (android). I also tried it in the browser on my phone and it bahaves the same.

Hello Eric Tillberg,

Please provide more detail. I have no idea what this is about.
Also… Feature Request Guidelines 📔

And if this is about the Home Assistant Frontend, Dashboards or sections, or if it is about a third party integration, those are not covered in the Feature Request category.

Please read that whole link (This pinned post in this catagory) for details.

I see I messed up the title, and the content  I’ll remember to not post with a fever…

I meant the shopping list. I’d like to hold on an entry to edit it and click on it to mark it done.

If this post is just “too bad”, just delete it and I’ll try again some other time. :+1::+1:

It’s fine. The top post can be edited.
It’s not a problem… Just fix it and we are all set!

What devices are you not able to do hold to edit? I just checked, and hold to edit works on PC but not on the mobile app (haven’t tried browser on mobile).

The issue you’re mentioning could be touch-specific. This is what I get on PC

On the phone (android). Tap (not on the check box) brings up edit and hold does nothing.

You have to be precise and that is not something I like to be when in the store :stuck_out_tongue:

You might wanna add that to your original post to make it clearer then

Edited.
I also tried it in the browser on my phone, and it bahaves the same.

Then it’s a touch-specific issue. I would put all the details in the first post, but it’s sounding like a front-end request which can only be done on github.

Thank you for helping me figure out requests . I’ll post on github instead.

Glad to help. Front-end feature requests go here (if it helps)
