Tapo C210 showing up under Unifi Protect

Greetings,

New Home Assistant User here. I recently set up a new Unifi network in my home and it included the Tapo C210 camera that I was running on my old network, but just as a normal wifi device. It was not part of the Unifi Protect setup with my 2 Ubiquiti cameras, of course, since it isn’t a Unifi device. It was just another device, or so I thought.

Then a couple of weeks later, I installed HAOS on a RPi5 and began adding integrations. Imagine my surprise when adding the Unifi Protect integration seeing the C210 on the list with no way to remove it or ignore it during the integration setup. It also showed up on the Unifi Network integration but removing it there actually worked.

I tried removing the camera from the Unifi Protect integration (once I had the integration set up and running), deleting the integration, restarting the RPi and re-adding the integration only to have the C210 show up there again. It’s not powered on. It’s not on the list of devices on Unifi Network. I have done everything I can think of to get rid of it but it persists as a ghost device.

Thoughts or suggestions? In the meantime, I have disabled all entities (I think it was only showing adopt after I attempted to remove it) and am aggressively ignoring it.

Curious.

Devin

PS - I have not tried editing the device or entities database files. Yet.

PPS - HAOS is current, running 15.2 and Core 25.5.2
