I want to disable our TV between midnight and 7am. (We have a 7yo and 9yo on summer vacation form school and they have a habit of turning on cartoons before we wake up.)
A power switch won’t work because the TV is likely to just come on when the switch activates. And I don’t want to power down the Roku either.
So what I’m thinking is to see if there’s an HDMI switch I can install between the Roku and the TV so if they turn on the TV before it is allowed, there’s no feed.
Does anyone know of an HDMI switch that can be controlled easily, ideally an OSS-driven option like Tasmota?
Other ideas welcome. Another option I’m already considering is a network or firewall option so the Roku has no functional streaming.
