Tasmota madness, HA controls two separate switches simultaneously

Hi,

I’ve got two power strips running tasmota, slightly different models one with 4 outlets one with 3. So I named them FishStrip3 and FishStrip4.

They control various things for my fish tank.

For some reason toggling a switch on FishStrip 4, also toggles the same switch on FishStrip3.

That’s nuts.

How do I go about fixing this? I’ve deleted both devices and done SetOption19 1 on both, then set it back to 0, one at a time, to let them rediscover, but the same problem persists.

No automations or other linking performed.

What sets the devices as unique in home assistant?

You did give them each a different name in Tasmota ?

Yup and they show in HA as different devices. What should the tasmota mqtt page show as?

Click the Information button, in Tasmota’s menu, and inspect the value of MQTT Full Topic.

If the two devices share the same topic then any command published to it will be received by both.

That’s why francisp asked if the devices have unique names (and it appears that they don’t).

Yeah the device names are different but the mqtt page had the same info. Wasn’t sure what % code for the mqtt page should be there to default in the device name
