Telegram notification setup failure

OS: Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
Platform: Docker (latest stable)

I’ve been using telegram integration to notify me on events in my system for the past 2 weeks
setup a new bot and configured telegram as follows inside configuration.yaml:

telegram_bot:
  - platform: polling
    api_key: A..................
    allowed_chat_ids:
      - -6............

notify:
  - platform: telegram
    name: telegram_family_group
    chat_id: -6...........

Since yesterday after I’ve upgraded my docker image to the latest stable I’m getting the following error and I can’t use telegram notification anymore.

Logger: homeassistant.setup
Source: setup.py:298
First occurred: 11:41:23 AM (1 occurrences)
Last logged: 11:41:23 AM

Unable to prepare setup for platform telegram.notify: (DependencyError(...), 'Could not setup dependencies: telegram_bot')

Am I doing something wrong? was there a breaking change or might be a regression in this latest stable version?

Thanks

I only have

telegram_bot:
  - platform: polling
    api_key: "api:keyhere"
    allowed_chat_ids:
      - 123456789

after this you can just make service calls:

maybe try it without notify

You comment helped me solve it,
The documentation says “API_KEY” but it represents a wrong value
as the KEY would be only the string that comes after the : while in a TOKEN it’s both sides a:b.

Can’t say why it did worked before with just the key.

I’m using the notify integration to set convenient names for the groups/individual I’m messaging using the call service

Ahh okay, yeah for me it was clear but I totally get you.
Thats a reason why we need more specific examples, because „abstracted“ examples are sometimes just terrible.
