I’m trying to set up the Tesla Fleet integration and consistently get ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED on the final redirect step, across multiple browsers and devices.
System info:
- Home Assistant Green
- Home Assistant Core version: [vul hier je versie in, te vinden bij Instellingen > Systeem > Algemeen]
- Accessed locally via http://:8123
What I’ve done:
- Created a Tesla Developer Application (Authorization Code and Machine-to-Machine, correct scopes)
- Used FleetKey.net to host the public key
- Successfully authenticated with Tesla and reached the “Link account to Home Assistant?” confirmation page (so the OAuth handshake with Tesla itself works)
- Clicking “Link account” redirects to
<local-ip>:8123/auth/external/callback?code=...&state=..., which fails with ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED
What I’ve tried (all with the same result):
- Different browsers (Chrome, Safari) on the same Mac
- Incognito mode
- Disabling all browser extensions
- Confirmed no proxy or VPN is active
- Verified the local IP address is correct and the instance is reachable via that IP in a normal browser tab
- Removed and reinstalled the iOS Companion app and tried the same flow there — it hangs on a black screen at the equivalent step instead of showing an error
The integration doesn’t appear in Settings > Devices & Services afterward, so the flow never completes.
Any pointers on what else to check would be appreciated — I’ve ruled out the obvious browser/network culprits and I’m not sure where to look next.
