The automated backup is generating strange names

I have 2 instances of HA, one on the boat and one at home. Both are very standard, and backup is running with the default configuration (I think). However the names generated are very different.
At home I see this:

A full backup every 3 days, with a name included date and time. (the instance has been off for a while, so there are no recent backups)
On Google Drive, the names are identical, size is about 200MB.

However, on board it generates a partial backup every day with the same name (when viewed in HA):

Can anyone explain what I misconfigured?

I don’t seem anything wrong. I just think:

That is the Google drive backup add-on doing backups, and typical names for that

And that are the typical names for the ‘new’ (since 20205.1) automatic backup system

I use both systems and have both name systems :

Thanks! That makes sense since I have been using the Google drive backup add-on for quite a while. At home I had never configured the new backup system, so it was not generating backups yet.

Is there a point in having both? Or could I better uninstall the add-on now?

I use both, because they back up to different google accounts. You can never have to many backups :slight_smile:

Make sure those backups are verified to be able to be restored from. Too late if you find they are corrupted, right when you most need them.

I randomly pick a backup each month, and restore it to a virtualbox VM to check the backups.
You don’t have a backup until you have tested it.
