I have two ONVIF-integrated cameras, let’s call them A and B. If I unplug both while the person detection sensor shows clear, camera B always stays Idle, and then precisely eight minutes later the sensor switches to ON. I’ve tested two different brands for camera B and the behavior is identical, which makes me think it’s something in my Home Assistant configuration.
Why would the sensor switch to ON after the camera is unplugged? I suspect it’s because the sensor never goes into an unavailable state.
