Thermostat Card - Heat_Cool Mode Default Buttons

Anytime the dashboard is loaded/reloaded, the thermostat card Plus and Minus buttons default to heat setpoint when in heat_cool mode - meaning the button borders are orange and hitting + or - adjusts the heat setpoint. Since it’s summer here, I’d like these to default to the cool setpoint. Is there any way I can set the default behavior of this card when in heat_cool mode? Ideally, either (1) set the buttons to whichever setpoint the current temp is closer to or (2) set the buttons based on time of year.

Currently, when I load my dashboard, I have to adjust the cool side of the arc and then I can dial in my setpoint using the buttons.

I don’t think there’s any kind of option for this.

I do know you can click on the cool setpoint number (the large number on the right half of the inner circle) to change the buttons to cool mode (the button outline will turn blue).

That’s a slightly easier touch target than having to adjust the slider.

Hadn’t thought to try that, but still an extra step - in an environment that gives us so much control/automation/templating/modding over almost everything - literally.

That said, that gives me an idea for how to manage my heat-cool buttons for my LVGL displays - currently I have separate buttons for each setpoint when in heat-cool mode.
