Thread Border Router (ZBT-2) and iOS: "Thread network credentials does not match with any of the active thread networks around"

Hi all,

i recently bought a Home Assistant Green with a Home Assistant Connect ZBT-2 in order to run some Eve Thermo as well as other Matter devices.

Doing so i turned Home Assistant into a Thread border router following this manual: Thread - Home Assistant

Unfortunately I am running into an issue when I want my iPhone 15 (iOS 26.1) to know the credentials of my newly created Thread network. Everytime I try “sending credentials to phone” from the thread menu on the compagnion app, it tells “Thread network credentials does not match with any of the active thread networks around”

I am not running any other border routers at home, i don’t have a Mac and I also reset all my network connections on iOS - with no positive results.

I would be really happy to receive some recommendations to follow!

Are your phone, matter server and HA on the same network and is IPv6 enabled in HA and on the network devices?

I am not an expert, but i suppose it is enabled:

ipv6 both
ipv6 both2310×1244 311 KB

That looks like it is enabled.
And iPhone is on heimnetz too?

OMG, i just realized, that i attached the HA to the router instead of my Deco which provides the wireless mesh… Now it works! Thank you WallyR for putting me on the right path!

That sounds like you have a double NAT’ing setup in your home, which maybe should be changed.
Can you set your deco router to bridge mode instead of router mode?
