I’m trying to setup my first thread/matter device.
for hardware I have
I am trying to add “open thread border router”, but it asks for a URL and I have no idea what to give it.
I setup the add-on and it says has references to port 8080 and 8081.
However neither the IP for my SLZB-06P7 nor my home assistant ip work.
Please help
I don’t know if this helps you but earlier this week I added my first Matter devices and was able to do that using the Iphone HA App, through “Add Device”.
I am also setting mine up through my android phone, but I believe I am having 1 of 2 issues. First, I don’t know what port number to point the thread “add-on” to for my SLZB-06P7.
Second it asks for a URL when I go to integrations and try to add “open thread border router” and I have no idea what to put in that field.
Is it the IP and port for home-assistant or the SLZB-06P7 (tcp/ip) and which port.
When clicking on Add Device in my phone App, it asked me what kind of device and I selected Matter. It then asked me to scan the Q-Code and “voila” it worked.
Did you follow this guide to setup the OTBR add-on to connect to the SZLB over the network?
Once OTBR is up and running, you should see the Border Router in the Thread Integration’s CONFIGURE page, which shows a list of all TBRs detected (but not managed) by Home Assistant.
When the OTBR Integration is linked to the add-on (setup by default in HAOS) there should be no need to “add open thread border router” via URL. Review the Thread documentation if you need to manually link the add-on to the integration, and be sure to sync the credentials to your Android phone before adding your first device.
After hours of search I found said guide.
So I put in the values.
I got a prefered network to show up in thread.
I went to configure the device and now it gets slightly further.
I says it find the device and start going through the motions.
Then it says “connecting to my network ”

I was able to set it up via alexa, but not google home either.
