About the IKEA Kajplats bulbs, seems they do function as router, looking at mine OTBR topology diagram.
In your diagram how did you get the device names to appear?
On my diagram there are no labels, only some codes (like 0x8400) which appear when i hover over a node. And I dont know how to relate those codes to devices.
By hand
for demonstration purposes. The routers are easy identified by looking at the ExtAddress property in the topology window and at the MAC address propery of the IKEA devices, see the Alpstuga example below:
I have yet to find something similair to identify the battery operated devices, so i guessed the other 3, but for the overall discussion, it does not Matter.
Yes that is what I do as well.
I will share that I have found a couple of devices where this method doesn’t work.
Haven’t figured out yet where the MAC shown in the UI actually comes from.
I have a Aqara Hub M100 as boarder router and several Heiman sleepy end device over 2 flours. The signal strength is very low for some of the Heiman devices so I decided to purchse a ikea thread bulb and plug as mesh extender. As you can see in the picture Aqara and Íkea are bulding a mesh network but the heiman devices are still connected to the Aqara router.
Am I missing something, or why won't my Heiman device connect to the IKEA devices?
