Tibber integration broken after Home Assistant 2026.4.4 update and rollback

Home Assistant Core 2026.4.4 seems to have broken my Tibber integration and possibly corrupted the integration/frontend state after rollback attempts.

Setup:

  • Raspberry Pi 4

  • SSD storage

  • Tibber Pulse

  • Growatt integration

  • Home Assistant Companion App + browser access

  • System was stable before updating

What happened:

  • After updating to 2026.4.4, Tibber Pulse realtime entities started freezing after a few minutes.

  • Entity values stop updating completely.

  • last_updated no longer changes.

  • Restarting Home Assistant temporarily restores realtime updates, but only for a short time.

  • Tibber official app continues working perfectly, so Pulse hardware and Tibber cloud connection appear OK.

Things already tested:

  • Restart Home Assistant

  • Reload integration

  • Disable/enable Tibber integration

  • Delete and re-add Tibber integration

  • Rollback attempt to 2026.4.3

  • Re-authentication

  • Reserved static IP for Pulse

  • Verified WiFi connectivity

Current state:

  • Tibber OAuth flow completes successfully ("Done!")

  • However, the Tibber integration is not actually added afterward

  • Sometimes the frontend becomes unstable:

  • Add Integration button becomes unresponsive

  • "Unable to connect to Home Assistant"

  • Missing icons / broken UI behavior

  • Logs mostly show missing old entities after Tibber removal, but no clear Tibber auth error

Important:

  • Everything worked correctly before updating

  • Issue started immediately after update

  • Rollback did not fully restore previous behavior

Question:

Has anyone seen similar Tibber/Pulse behavior after 2026.4.4 or rollback attempts?

Could this be a corrupted config-entry/frontend state issue or a regression in Tibber realtime handling?

Hi! I have the exact same problem.

Try updating to 2026.5.1, there are some Tibber-related fixes in that release.

Thanks. Maybe it's worth waiting for even newer ones?

Uppgrade seemed to have solved it for me

Thank you.

Solved it for me as well!

Update:

I upgraded to Home Assistant Core 2026.5.1.

The realtime freeze issue may be improved, but now I still cannot add the Tibber integration properly.

OAuth completes successfully and I get:
"Done! Your account is now linked"

However:

  • no Tibber integration appears afterward
  • no Tibber entities are created
  • Application Credentials is empty
  • logs show no Tibber authentication errors

I only see unrelated warnings/errors (for example Tuya unique ID warnings and missing old entities after previous Tibber removal attempts).

Could previous rollback/delete/re-add attempts have corrupted the config entry or integration flow somehow?

Update:

Adding Tibber from the Home Assistant mobile app still failed for me after OAuth “Done”.

However, adding the integration from a desktop browser completed successfully and restored all devices/entities, including Tibber Pulse realtime data.

System seems stable now, still testing.

After a few days of testing, everything seems to be ok.

Yesterday I conect my tibber pulse localy via Mosquitto broker MQTT and I have same problem with frozen after few minut, I have HA 2026.5.1. I have bridge so also I have data in tibber app and if I open app then data comes back to HA also. Someone have some Idea?
