:newspaper: The Automation Process:

  • Activation with RFID Tag:
    • Specify your employee’s name. This must match the name assigned to the RFID tag and the input_text entity created previously…
    • You can customize the column names that will be displayed in the Google Sheet.
    • Once you have selected Google Sheet and entered the sheet name, the automation is ready for:
      • Identify the RFID Tag: Bring the tag close to the reading device so that it can also be read by a Smartphone (which has NFC)
      • Transcribing to Google Sheet: will write the Date, Time, Tag Name if it has entered, with the exit it will also write the Duration.

Initial release 1.0

This project aims to scan an NFC tag and record entry and exit on a Google Sheet.

Naturally, before this will work, you must:

  • have Google Sheets installed on HA
  • record a tag on HA
  • create an input_text helper (which will track entry and exit)
