Timer Helper not showing

Hi All,

I’m progressing well with HA, but need to start to work with timer helpers instead of delays in my automations.

Unfortunately, when I create a new timer helper it doesn’t get added to the helper lists.

I have checked config.yaml and default_config: is there.

How do I get the helper timer available?

Hi

  1. check your entities dashboard
  2. what happens if you recreate the exact same helper?
  3. have you tried refreshing your browser/clearing the cache?
  4. ultimately, you could restart HA to see if that makes a difference.

Thanks Nick for the response.

There is no entity created so can’t add to the dashboard

Recreated the same and different timer helpers but none show in the helper list for are accessible entities

I’ve not tried refreshing cache (school boy error maybe) so will get on to that when I get home

Reset HA a few times no difference

I assumed that creating the same helper would give a notification/error but it just adds an index.

Go to Settings → Devices & services → Helpers to check there.

Thanks Nick your advice was spot on, just refreshed Cache and surprise surprise they are showing.
