I have various timers set up to countdown. One for meds, another for pet feeding. They are each set to either 12h which I input as 86400 or 12h which I input as 43200. I’ve tried changing it to 12:00:00 as well, which normally works fine.
Lately, my timers are not resetting to the value that I have I put. They reset to random values. So the 12h one will reset to 4:27:06 for example, then the next day it will reset to 12:00:03. The 24h timer so far seems fine. I have deleted and rebuilt the timers and it is still doing it.
I apologize, I don’t know how everyone gets their code on here so that people can see it in those boxes, but I can copy and paste it if you want?
The other interesting thing is that it changes by device. So I have an aquara push button that I use to reset them, but I also have a few fire tablets on the walls which have a tap-action to reset them.
And the various devices, including my phone, reset the 12h timer to different times. For example, when I press the tap action on my phone, I got 12:00:03, but on the Fire Tablet when I pressed it on there; I got 11:59:29 and they are right beside each other.
When I reset the timer on one device, the other devices don’t reset to the same amount of time either. So it isn’t that if I tap action on one device that they will all reset to the same value. It is that they don’t reset to the same value regardless if I tap action on one device or on separate devices. And the values don’t stay the same as mentioned. The next day it can be an entirely different and unrelated value like 4h:10:22.
I have restarted HA and occasionally it fixes the issue for a half day or a day, I have rebuilt the timer which fixes it sort of by going closer to the 12h value but again they all reset to something slightly different from each other for whatever reason. I can’t figure it out.
The 24h timer seems to work fine, and I have tried duplicating it and then using the working timer but for some reason it then doesn’t work, immediately it is fine but then after a short time it stops and does the same issue. Maybe it has to do with changing the value to 12h?
“Restore” is checked in all cases.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
Happy to provide code, if someone can explain what the process is for that? I was told once a very long time ago but I don’t have to come on here often and I apologize I can’t recall what it was I did to get it to post on here.
Any help appreciated. If I don’t respond right away it is only because I’m not home but I will be checking this regularly when I get home to see if anyone responded so your thoughts and questions are appreciated and I will respond as soon as I get your message. Thanks so much in advance!
