Greetings,
I’m having some bother with a Z-Wave energy monitoring socket, a TKBHome TZ88E. I’ve got the device paired with Home Assistant via an Aeotec Z-Stick Gen5. The device reports as alive and I can toggle power on and off - so far, so good!
However, I’m not receiving any power reports. The device has entities listed for:
- Electric Consumption [A]
- Electric Consumption [Power Factor]
- Electric Consumption [V]
- Electric Consumption [W]
- Electric Consumption [kWh]
All of these entities, with the exception of volts [V], reports as 0.0 despite a known load being present and powered on, and as a result obviously any dashboard element using them also shows the same result.
I have configured the device to set the “Watt meter report interval (5s)” to “1” i.e., reports every five seconds; and the “KWH Meter Report Interval (10min)” to “1” i.e., reports every ten minutes (if I understand these parameters correctly). They both reported as being successfully set, yet no change to behaviour in Home Assistant is seen.
I’ve also tried healing the device and reconfiguring the device. Both actions appear successful in that no errors are shown, but there is no change in behaviour. I’ve checked the Z-Wave logs and do not see any broadcasts for power readings (where I do see broadcasts for another active device).
I have other Z-Wave sockets that are working fine, two of which are power monitoring and are reporting correctly. These are both from different manufacturers though (Everspring and GreenWave). This is the only TKBHome device I have.
I’m not too sure where to go from here! If anyone has any tips, I’d be grateful.
Thanks very much!
