Hey everyone.
I was really excited to see how well my project went last night. We have a new cat and I wanted to get a pet feeder for her. So many of them have wifi connections that go who knows where. Then I found this writeup for a feeder that has an ESP32 in it.
I bought the feeder hoping not to brick it but made peace with the fact that my soldering isn’t great, so it was a possibility.
I was almost surprised to see how well it went. I have done a few other ESP32 projects, so that first finicky USB based download was more familiar to me at least. Everything in that writeup was spot on though. I have some small changes that I am going to make, but it is pretty close to copy/paste ready.
