Hi @peraklo , yes, I have some boards left, but i am currently on holiday and will not be back until mid next week. I will put some more on ebay then and let you know.
The boards just connect to any point on the AB line and you should be able to install them wherever you want, including inside the unit if there is room. Just mind that wifi can be heavily attenuated inside a metal case.
I’m interested in purchasing one of these for an outdoor unit TOSHIBA MMY-MAP1604HT8 – VRF with 6 interior units attached (MMD-AP0126MPHY and MMD-AP0096MPHY) with individual controllers on each RBC-AMS41E(SX-A5EE) or RBC-AMS55E.
Hi @ThrillhouseMelb, given your system design, if all controllers can be controlled completely independent, I believe you would need 6 boards, on for each independent indoor unit. A better solutions would be to control the system through the U1-U2 bus (different tot he AB bus) that interconnects all the units. My module cannot do that, however, see previous post for a solution that might work for you (I haven’t checked myself, but according to the description it should work for your case). In any case, if you want to get a board or more from me, I’ve put some on ebay and I will have some more ready in a week or so.
Thanks @dzungpv, your project seems very promising. However, I followed your links and inspected your repo, and I cannot find any info on the design of your board for Toshiba systems. You announced this as an open source project, but it seems that this is not the case, which is a bit disappointing.
First of all, thank you very much for your work on the Toshiba AB-bus project. It’s a really great project and exactly the kind of local Home Assistant integration I was looking for.
I have a Toshiba ESTIA HWT-601XWHT6W-E (R32) heat pump and I would be very interested in purchasing one of your fully assembled boards!
If you have one available, or when you have one available again, please let me know. I would be happy to purchase one and have it shipped to Latvia!
@makusets it is not opensource project, I never say that, and it is difference from your project, using homebus protocol and it handle all the child indoor units in the VRF system over U1U2/U3U4 port, It will be available next week and I will email you when it is ready to ship, if you are still interest it.
Hi, I’m looking for 3x v3.2 boards to control a RAS-M07U2DVG-E, RAS-M10U2DVG-E, RAS-M22U2DVG-E and RAS-3M26U2AVG-E outdoor unit. Is there any chance of getting these shipped to Italy? Thanks
Hi @makusets, great project! I’d be interested in one v3.2 board from your next batch for a Toshiba ESTIA R410A (1st gen, hydro unit HWS-804XWHT6-E1) with wired remote, shipping to Austria. Could you send me a PM with price incl. shipping? Happy to report back on how it works with the 1st-gen ESTIA. Thanks, Tom
Thanks @tomheinisch, if you are happy using eBay, I will let you know when I put more on. Typically is goes around 40-45 Euro including shipping and taxes.
I put them for $25 AUD, the rest is calculated by eBay.
Thanks @makusets , in the meanwhile I decided to build it from JLCPCB to learn something new. If everything works I might have a couple to sell to whoever might needs it.
Hi @makusets, great project! I’d like one fully assembled v3.2 board from your next batch, shipped to Italy.
My system: Toshiba Estia 1st gen R410A, single-phase hydro unit HWS-P1104XWHM3-E, wired remote HWS-AMS11E. I plan to connect it on the A/B terminals behind the wall remote.
Happy to buy via eBay, please let me know when it’s listed. Thanks!
Hi @makusets, I have the HWS-805XWHT6-E without an additional controller (just the one on the heat pump). Will this work with my heat pump? Let me know when I can order.
