Transfer ZWave network to another HA

I want to transfer my ZWave network to a different Home Assistant. I saw many people asking the same thing and I am confused by the answers. Some people suggest moving some files that are no longer there. Others say that plugging my ZWave controller into another HA device should do the trick. But then, someone said that I need to copy and move “security keys” for my ZWave devices, but no explanations on how to do that.

Can someone help me with this?

At the end of the day you just need the stick and the keys to be successful but as. To the actual process and where you get those depend on with what you have now.

How do you operate ZWave currently.

Thank you for your reply. Where can I find security keys that my devices use? What to do if I do not have them?

I have an HA OS and I use Z-Wave JS.

Make a backup of the zwave addon. Restore the backup of the zwave addon on your other device.

If you aren’t using HAOS, you’ll have to find the cache file and transfer that. EDIT It seems you are using haos, so just do the backup/restore.

FYI, backing up the zwave addon via the backup system, choose partial then just select the zwave js addon, uncheck everything else.

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried it and something does not work. I migrated Z-Wave add-on as you suggested. Everything looks good and I can see all my devices in Z-Wave JS on my new HA. The Z-Wave add-on is running.

After that, I tried to add Z-Wave devices. Here is what I see:

I click the Submit button:

I click Submit button and it stays like this for the next 5 minutes:

In 5 minutes, I receive the following message:

What can I do?

look at the addon logs and see why it’s failing.

Thank you for your help. I unchecked the option “Use the Z-Wave JS Supervisor add-on” and specified that supervisor is at ws://localhost:3000 and it works.
