Trigger Alarm Xiaomi Smoke Sensor

Hello fellow home assistent (and more) geeks

I recently bought and installed the xiaomi smoke sensor. I integrated this in my HA and that works how it should be.

It got me thinking about the alarm, so my question is as followed .

Is it possible to trigger the “smoke sensor alarm” alarm trough home assistant. The sirene is quite hard and I’m thinking of using the alarm from the smoke sensor as a burglar alarm as well (with some scripting and automating). But I can’t get the alarm to fire up trough HA. I looked online as well but no information whatsoever.

So if anybody knows the answer, please do reply :slight_smile:

From what i read in the past, it wasnt possible. But id be interested if there had been movement on this as getting a zigbee capable alarm that can be triggered through automation appears to be more difficult than I had expected!

I was looking trough mqtt to send some kind of action to trigger the alarm, but this is a dead end as well.

We’ll see if somebody got the answer for us
