Triggers missing

I want to adjust some automation of a charger. After adding a timer(helper) and starting it even…
I want to add a trigger for when the timer ends. However I cannot add any trigger with that timer as there ’ are no triggers available ’ for that timer.
stupidddd me.
I just am in the process of making that trigger .

I am using the newest core and frontend.

What’s so great about Windows 10: There are finally no more updates!

So I can no longer select a timer and the property ‘inactive’ to act as a trigger.
Same issue on desktop pc.
HAOS core 2026.1.2
supervisor 2026.01.1
OS 16.3
Frontend 20260107.0

Solution for now: restore old backup.
Backup to 2026.1.1 did not work
problem still exist

Solution found.
After selecting ‘new trigger’, select ’ Entity’ instead of searching for a timer.

It looks like you are using the experimental, purpose-specific triggers feature from Labs. There aren’t any purpose specific triggers for timers yet, so your search results are correct. Based on comments from the team working on this feature, there are around 200 triggers that they still need to develop and add before all the core integration triggers are covered, then there are a currently-unknown number of purpose-specific triggers that custom integration may add over time.

So, currently, just use either a State trigger or an Event trigger for your timer entity… if you just search for “state” you should get:

If you want a trigger that is specific for the timer finishing, you will need to use an Event trigger, as described in the Timer integration docs.

I haven’t meddled with automations very much lately, so I was just doing what came naturally; Use the menu structure…
The solution I found, I stated at the end, above.
