I think I made a mistake in my first attempt by putting the wrong URL address because I copied the address in the description instead of the URL address my HomeSeer device was located. Now every time I try to add it for Z-Wave I get a “failed to connect” message. I’ve tried every combo I can think of. If I select custom with “Use the Z-Wave JS App” or not I still get the “failed to connect” message.
I know I have the correct location now because I selected Network, then Network Discovery (at the bottom), and DHCP browser to find the correct address, and that worked when I added Zigbee Integration.
How do I get Home Assistant to forget my initial Z-Wave integration mistake so I can add it via my HomeSeer Z-Net Pro?
yeah once the first zwave add goes weird it can leave junk behind. in my experience the “failed to connect” loop is usually a leftover entry under Settings → Devices & services (delete the failed Z-Wave JS integration if its still there), then also check the Z-Wave JS UI add-on logs for the websocket url its actually trying.
for a HomeSeer Z-Net you probably want the ws://IP:PORT that Z-Wave JS UI shows, not the device web page url. if it still sticks, a reboot of HA after removing the broken integration has cleared it for me before. shrug
I have it up and running now. I couldn’t delete JS Integration, but I was able to disable it IOT add Z-Wave. Now I can start adding Z-Wave and Zigbee devices to Home Assistant.
