Try to group devices : Node XX does not have the same security class as nod XX

Hi!

I try to group one button ( Heat It Z-Push 8 ) to a 200v smart switch ( Aeotec SmartSwitch 7).
The button device is just freshly added to the network, like other I chose S0.

But I get this message : "Association not allowed: Node 47 does not have the same security class as Node 42! "

So I check and the buttons device is in “S0_Legacy” and the SmartSwitch in “No security”.

Is there a way, from HA / Zwave JS UI, to change the level of security of ther SmartSwitch ?

Thank you.

Mistake… I use NO SECURITY, so the HEat IT buttons are the exception.

Only way is to exclude and re-include with the desired security level.

But why have you included your Z-Push 8 with S0? According to the ZW DB is supports S2 Unauthenticated, is that not true? S2 is always preferred over S0. I would re-include both either S2 Unauthenticated or No Security.

4 years ago I chose to include everything on S0. I have 36 devices.
Probably not a good choice.
But I’m in arctic, lost in the forest. Alone. I probably don’t need security :o

Thanks for your help. I re-included it in S0.
