Trying to get humidity from Open-Meteo

Wanting to monitor indoor and outdoor humidity for ventilation control (eventually using enthalpy but to get started just using humidity). Have the indoor working from thermostat. Have forecast card working using Open-Meteo to show forecast but can’t get the current humidity (or other attributes) to show up. The card for outdoor humidity shows “unknown” despite trying various forms of entity and such. Have added this to yaml:

template:
  - sensor:
      - name: "Outdoor Humidity"
        unique_id: outdoor_humidity_open_meteo
        unit_of_measurement: "%"
        device_class: humidity
        state_class: measurement
        state: "{{ state_attr('weather.open_meteo', 'humidity') }}"

Have read that open_meteo in the state line may need to be modified to a local name but not sure where to find that. Have tried a could things there with no luck.

Search in the states tool for weather. to filter for just your weather entities. Once you find the right one, click the clipboard icon to copy the entity ID, then paste that into your template.

Thanks! Found it and discovered that humidity is not in the list of attributes. Had read it was. NWS also doesn’t have humidity. Now I am on a search for a relative humidity or dew point source.

OpenWeatherMap has it as a separate entity. No need to template attributes for it.

EDIT: It also has Dew Point Temperature too

Have read that Open weather map requires credit card info for verification. Would rather avoid that.

I use Ambient Network It has local real-time readings (if you can find a weather station near your location)

Use a disposable card from Revolut & set the API 3.0 settings to something below 1000

I use NWS (National Weather Service/NOAA) and mine has a relative humidity sensor.

Maybe it depends on location ? Or maybe the entity is disabled. If IIRC, I think I did have to enable it.

Mine shows relative humidity as one of the measurements available and I enabled it. But it doesn’t ever get a value. Some of the other values do populate so maybe this particular site doesn’t have it. I have a couple other NWS sites nearby so could try them.
