Tts “say” on same speaker that took the voice command

I have a problem that i would have thought would have been simple - but googling is coming up empty.

My tts say setup is working just fine - but it seems i have to hard nail it to a given speaker. I have like 8 google home / minis in the house… and i want to invoke the (verbal) command at the nearest speaker… and have the say command come back to me on the same speaker (not hard nail it say to the kitchen speaker).

I can’t say how this exactly works, as I don’t use cloud services like Google, but can’t you work with a trigger variable?

I’m working with Rhasspy and there you send an intent to HA, so you always have a trigger available. Maybe this works with Google as well? :slight_smile:
