Anyone else got these plugs? TuYa BSD29 control via MQTT | Zigbee2MQTT
There is a setting to adjust the polling interval that defaults to 60 seconds. I’d prefer 10-seconds on some of these to be more responsive in automations.
Unless anyone else has got some recommendations for cheap UK plugs that have active monitoring instead of polling?
Every device you can really own (hardware & software) and that is capable of running esphome. This typically includes devices based on esp82xx, esp32’s and now/soon even many of the realtek and beken chips widely used by tuya.

What I don’t understand why this Zigbee plug you have polls at all? I don’t use Z-Stuff but thought these would be always local push. 
Now I checked Zigbee Home Automation - Home Assistant and it’s really only local polling
