I have a water tank level sensor that is working well. It shows up in the Tuya integration but has no entities and provides no information. Then best thing I have been able to do so far is to create virtual switches in the Tuya developer system - Tank - 10%, Tank - 20%, etc. Then I setup scenes in the Tuya app to turn the switches on or off based on the level in the tanks. This is fine but I would really like to get the actual tank level if possible. Can anyone think of anyway I can get that using the Tuya developer app or other means? I can’t seem to find a virtual number capability in the developer app and even if I did I don’t think the Tuya scenes are capable enough to copy a number? Thanks.
Tuya WiFi devices ? In HACS there are Local Tuya and Tuya local, you can try these.
Thanks - I shouldn’t have mentioned that the Tank is in my shore house. So I don’t have a local instance of Home Assistant running there. I would have to get a Green or something and install it there in order to use the local Tuya, right?
Probably .
