Tuya Integration / HACS Tuya Xtend – QR Codes Not Showing

Hi everyone,

I’m having issues integrating Tuya with Home Assistant, specifically when using the HACS Tuya Xtend integration. The main problem is that the QR codes required for granting access are not showing up.

My setup:

  • Home Assistant Version: 2025.12.5
  • Tuya Integration Version: 1.5.2
  • HACS Tuya Xtend Integration

What I’ve tried so far:

  • Different browsers (Chrome, Edge)
  • Restarting Home Assistant
  • Reinstalling the Tuya Xtend integration via HACS

No luck so far.

My questions:

  1. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a way to get the QR codes to display correctly?
  2. Are there alternative ways to connect Tuya devices to HA via Tuya Xtend without using the QR code?

I can only think of 1 issue, If you use a custom-theme, revert to default, and the code should show

And don’t do like me,after a year i needed to ad yet another device, and had forgot all about this , so i was flushing the cache, refreshing etc. until i finally remembered , what i did last year :grin:
