Tuya Integration has stopped working, AFAIK with latest upgrade

All of a sudden today, all my Tuya integrations stopped working. They appear to be working from the Tuya app. I’ve tried re-authenticating with home assistant but doesn’t seem to help. Was working fine yesterday, June 25, 2024. I did some upgrades yesterday, and am thinking possibly that had something to do with it.

My current versions are as follows…

  • Core 2024.6.4
  • Supervisor 2024.06.2
  • Operating System 12.4

Here is a snippet from the log:

That error is saying that the unique id is already in use and hence it is refusing to add.

See if you can find those entities in the entity list. If they are orphaned you may be able to delete them from there. Settings / Devices and Services / Entities. Then reload the tuya integration.

Thanks very much for taking the time to respond. Yeah, I found that in my haste to fix the issue I had added a duplicate integration. I deleted all the Tuya integrations and then just added one. That got rid of those log messages, but all the Tuya lights still show as “unavailable” - however they work fine in the Tuya app. According to the unavailable message it says it happened to all the lights 15 hours ago, which puts the event at about 02:00 a.m… I turned on debug logging but nothing is showing up. If you can think of something else to check, please LMK. Thanks!

One thing about working with the Tuya app, it seems like it’s somehow connecting only to the wifi on my phone and not connecting to my router as an ip device. Does that make any sense?

I don’t know if those are related but at about the same time I also started having problems with Tuya integration.
I found 2 istances in the intergarion as well.
It keep prompting me to re-autenticare, I succesfully re-autenticate, works for 1 minute and then prompt again to reautenticate.
Tuya app works fine.
I haven’t resolved it yet.

i have this issue too!
started yesterday
any idea how to fix it ?

This worked for me. My home has one SSID that supports 2.4 and 5 Ghz. This has worked perfectly for me for about a year. A few days ago, for some reason, all my Tuya lights stopped connecting to the router. Other 2.4 devices (including Tuya Garage door opener, etc.) continued to work fine.

What I did was create a new SSID specifically for 2.4Ghz devices. I changed the current SSID to only support 5Ghz devices. I then switched all the 2.4 Ghz devices in my house to the new SSID. Yes, it was a complete PITA.

That fixed the issue. Why all of a sudden the Tuya lights could no longer support a SSID with both 2.4 and 5 Ghz, I have no idea. My understanding was having one SSID with multiple frequencies was a good thing; that devices could then automagically connect to whatever they needed and it simplified configuration. Unfortunately, in 2024 we’re still required to have a SSID for each frequency. Whatever…

Hope this solves your issue. It did for me.

SSID and wifi is not related, there is an integration issue that the QR codes are invalid, nothing todo with devices itself … there is a. Issue thread on GitHub, lots of people are having the same issue… But untill now, no dev responded yet
