Simple question really… I have a stair lift in my house that lives at the bottom of the stairs due to space at the top. The is an IR remote that can “call” the carriage upstairs. The button needs pressing constantly wicks the carriage is in motion or it stops. Before I go and buy a blaster, can the tuya, or maybe another suggested IR blaster send a signal for an extended and prescribed period of time?

Ok, I remembered from a while back that the broadcom RM mini was popular for this so I picked one up in the end of year sales.
I’ve set up the integration but I don’t know where to use the commands that are listed in the wiki. It shows an example config file but surely I don’t want the discovery scripts in there permanently? I’ve been in trouble recently because there was too much stuff in my config.yaml that was interfering with updated ha, thinks like my location settings… Full disclosure, I’m not great with the commands but I have successfully used config.yaml years ago when I first set up ha. Can anyone point me to an idiots guide for using commands within ha please?
