Zigbee in the Yellow should be fine in general, but as for this particular sensor… as you may have discovered already the quality of Zigbee devices varies enormously. There are a couple of databases which can be quite helpful.
If you plan to use the Z2M integration, there’s a list of supported devices.
For the ZHA integration you can look for reported issues.
Otherwise, search this forum. 
Tuya provide the cloud development and management platform used by a lot of manufacturers, they don’t actually make the devices, so their label isn’t a guarantee of product quality.
Bear in mind that Zigbee is a mesh network - for any sensor to work, it has to be supported by a large number of mains-powered routers. If you haven’t used it before, there are a lot of useful posts here:
