I have searched before posting this, but I am still having problems.
Status:
-
I have three MoesGo wireless dimmer modules that control three zones of lights in the back room of the house.
-
The modules are connected physically to three toggle switches in a single-gang wall plate. Toggling on/off and holding down to adjust the brightness.
-
Each light is ‘seen’ through the Smart Life on my iPhone to my Alexa network for voice control and through the Alexa App
All is working well.
I also have a Flic2, via FlicLR hub to provide a single switch for on/off at a height for my granddaughter. Again, all working well, albeit slowly, as it is routing through Alexa. I already had the Flic2 and hub for other uses in the house.
So far, so good…
I have an RPi 4B running HomeAssistant (not in a container), and it is up-to-date.
I have also added a Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus to the RPi 4, so I could use a Sonoff Zigbee motion sensor to control the lights.
The Zigbee dongle and sensor are working well and they switch my TP-Link Kasa lamps in my office, so I know that is all good.
What I cannot do, despite many hours of trying, over several days, is get the Smart Life products to be seen in the HomeAssistant Tuya Integration.
I have been through the steps of registering on the Tuya site, setting up a cloud project to get the ID and secret. My phone number has been successfully bound, and my data centre has been set to Western Europe (I’m in the UK), but when I try to configure the TUYA integration, I get the infamous:
Tuya Integration Login error (2406): skill id invalid
message
I know that my SmartLife setup on the iPhone differs from the one on the TUYA site (PC browser), but at the point of configuration, the browser doesn’t even know the App exists on my phone… Could that be the problem?
I have avoided removing the App from the iPhone as I still need to use it.
This isn’t my first rodeo, but this does seem either very flaky or overly complex, and I could do with some helpful advice… please.
