Tuya Termperature/Humidity Sensor - no Controls (Sensors or Diagnostics)

Hello
Still setting up many of my devices in Home Assistant. I have a number of Tuya Temperature & Humidity sensors. The ones with a small display show up no problem and provide Humidity and Temperature. They also have “Battery state” under diagnostic. I also have smaller Tuya Temperature & Humidity sensors. These have no screens. These are the problem. They show up in the Tuya Smart app. They also show up in my Google Home setup. However, while they do show up as an “Entry” and with the name pulled from the device, no Controls. So, no Senors or Diagnostics. Any idea what might be going wrong with these little things? Or how to get at the information they are capturing? Thanks.

It might be that they’re not supported by the core Tuya integration. You could try the Tuya Local integration, which is installed via HACS. It updates more regularly, and I have several devices it supports where the core doesn’t. It also has the benefit of local control rather than cloud-based.

I’m still new to HA but for homebridge getting certain devices integrated is an insane headache. You have to go through an extremely long and tedious process in the tuya iot developer. I refuse to get tuya products because of it

It is long. I did complete it thought, so hopefully I can get this to work!

I will give this a try. Is there any problem runing this and the core Tuya?

No, I have both running. I also have Local Tuya running because I’ve got one stupid device that loses wifi when it’s turned off and on again. I then have to delete/add it in the Tuya app, which fixes the Tuya integration but it gets a new secret so it breaks Tuya Local. Using Local Tuya I can look up the secret to fix Tuya Local. It pisses me off. Here it’s sold as a Goldair electric blanket (and under different labels) and people have made the same complaint, but clearly I did not research enough.

No doubt this will work. I can’t, for the life of me, connect this to the sensor. I’m going to give up. Let is run in “Google Home” and just purchase better or newer sensors for this side. Thanks for the help.
