Tuya wifi device not recognised by home assistant

Not sure where to post this - please move if wrong.

I got a tuya wifi motion sensor. It add’s to the tuya app ok, but when this is re-loaded to home assistant, all I get is unsupported.

Devoce Info just says - Human Presence Sensor (unsupported) (wzp9yjsobanavsut) by Tuya.

I heard I can do a HACS tuya local thing - but I just want the inbuilt one to use it. My other stuff is zigbee and this was got by accident!

well, if its unsupported, you’ll have to contribute in changes i would suppose… Dit you look at

Thanks,

Where do I contribute exactly ?

i suppose here core/homeassistant/components/tuya at dev · home-assistant/core · GitHub

but local tuya will probably be an easier route

If you don’t mind using a Tuya online account you can look at this integration:

Tuya - Home Assistant

I have a handful of temp/humidity sensors that I easily made available in HA through a Tuya online account. You will need to install the Smart Life app on your phone and add the device there.
