Hi everyone
, I’m currently running Home Assistant OS with the official Tuya Cloud integration, and I’m facing a serious issue with my Tuya Zigbee light (connected via a Tuya Zigbee Gateway).
Setup Details:
- Home Assistant OS (Core version: 2025.10.1)
- Tuya Integration: Official Cloud
- Device: Tuya Zigbee Light
- Gateway: Tuya Zigbee Gateway
- Internet connection: Stable
- Tuya Smart app: Working perfectly
Problem Description:
I can successfully control the light ON from Home Assistant, but I cannot turn it OFF using the HA dashboard toggle. Also, the state is not updating correctly between Tuya Cloud and HA.
Detailed behavior:
- Start: Light is OFF, HA shows OFF

- Toggle ON in HA → light turns ON, but HA still shows OFF

- Now, HA thinks light is OFF, so I cannot toggle OFF

- In Tuya app → light shows correct state

- I can turn light OFF in Tuya app

- Back in HA → still shows OFF, no state update

- If I use Developer Tools → Call Service:
service: light.turn_off
target:
entity_id: light.light_1
→ Light turns OFF successfully ![]()
So commands from HA → Tuya work, but feedback from Tuya → HA is broken.
What I tried:
- Reloaded Tuya integration

- Re-synced devices

- Checked Tuya Cloud project

Observations:
- State sync between Tuya Cloud and HA seems delayed or missing.
- Tuya app always shows correct status.
Questions:
- Is this a known issue with the Tuya Cloud → Home Assistant state sync?
- Are any other devices (non-Tuya) affected by this kind of state sync problem?
- Any fix or workaround to make Home Assistant update the light’s state properly and keep the toggle in sync?
